How I can Help
There are several ways I can assist, advise and pro-actively provide services. I can work in several ways. I can also work on different methods of compensation including equity participation, profit shares and success fees.
- The business of starting a business. I have started almost all of my 21 businesses from scratch. That is I sourced the funding, wrote the business plan including a financial plan and forecasts, devised a startup strategy including SWOT analysis, created the legal documentation, filed with the various government authorities, set up the books, negotiated partner agreements, managed the technical infrastructure, helped recruit employees.
- Most importantly, I created marketing and sales plans as well as processes to manage business development.
- Mentoring existing businesses especially on partnership agreements and negotiations
- Advising on break-ups. One example: A production company also owned a division that was smaller, yet had a promising future. There were 3 partners. The partner I was advising agreed to exit from the production company and i negotiated and even created the legal framework for this partner to exit with a cash settlement (paid over time) PLUS ownership of this small division. I then partnered with this new division which was eventually sold to a major agency network.
- Equity firms, investment banks etc. Having sold several of my businesses - some back to the partners, some to equity and mezzanine firms, I have navigated the often months-long process of consummating deals. These usually include multiple financial advisors, due diligence and legal structures. As someone experienced in the process, I bring a different approach and understanding of the traps and pitfalls from investment advisory firms.

- Accounting services. I've been partnering with a remote accounting group called Graphite Garage. They are not your outside accountants, but do provide a virtual accounting and bookkeeping group at a very high level.
